Data Engineering Manager at Viber will lead teams of data engineers and manage information transfer in a massive-scale environment, while planning and building a service-oriented data platform that enables internal teams to easily build and consume data products. The role includes architecture and scaling of batch and streaming pipelines handling billions of daily events, while powering production ML systems with direct impact on business KPIs. Key requirements are 3+ years managing engineering teams in production, 6+ years building distributed data or ML systems, and hands-on experience with Java and Python in AWS environments and modern technologies such as Spark, PyTorch, and Kubernetes.
