Senior AI Backend and Data Engineer at Pendo. You will design, plan, and deliver data systems and backend infrastructure that integrate AI and ML as an integral part of the decision-making flows in production for our forecasted analytics platform. The role requires 5+ years of experience building production-grade systems in distributed cloud environments, proven experience integrating AI and LLMs into live production workflows, and mastery of Java, Python, or Go with relational and non-relational databases. You should leverage AI tools like Copilot or Cursor as a daily workflow multiplier, ship code daily through small and incremental updates, and maintain full ownership of results from design through production deployment.
