CommIT is seeking a senior backend engineer to lead the development and optimization of high-scale backend systems for a leading direct-to-consumer platform processing over a billion dollars annually. The role includes full ownership of features from planning through architecture, building microservices and event-driven workflows, to monitoring and production optimization. Required: 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems with strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, MongoDB, and Redis, along with deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and Docker. The company prefers candidates with an ownership mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and startup experience.
