Senior backend engineer at Honeycomb will work on core data services that power our insurance platform, with independent ownership of complex projects from planning through production. Required background of 5+ years in Node.js or Java, 3+ years with MongoDB and 1+ year with NestJS, alongside experience with microservices and a degree in Computer Science. This position requires an independent person who also knows how to be a meaningful part of a team, with practical mastery of AI tools like Claude Code and Copilot as part of daily work routine.
