The role involves designing and scaling backend systems such as a decision engine, data-rich pipelines, schema management, and a self-serve API platform, processing billions of requests daily worldwide. Requires 10+ years of experience building backend systems in large-scale production environments, at least 2 years at Staff level, proficiency in languages such as Python or Java, and experience with cloud-native technologies and distributed systems, alongside strong communication skills with both technical teams and enterprise customers.
